Live from London

Aching, muscle spasms, limping...

Met tamaranth and a few of her friends at a Goth night called "b movie2". Friendly, nice, they played "sweet home Alabama" so a few painful Hawaiian flash backs, but on the whole fun. Agreed to meet for a picnic in Greenwich the next afternoon.

Good group, nailed a girl in the forehead with a bunch of plastic cups - about par for me, ended up being interrogated at the Cutty Sark Bar by someone probably not named Simon and drinking. I was assigned an escort home drplokta *poor guy obviously drew the short straw and had to deal with the insane American* Here is our evening; dialog, not for a contrelemontre challenge:

Me: you want a shot?
DR: I don't really drink
me: why?
DR: It has no effect, really
me: Cool. So it won't do any harm. Two shots of tequila please.

Me: We can take a BUS all the way back to London?
DR: *looks confused, waiting for my head to explode* Um yes...
Me: Cool! Lets take a BUS! *bounces*
DR: (to self) dear god, tamaranth how could you leave me alone with this nut?!!

Me: Waterloo Bridge?! Yay! lets walk across to the ferris wheel.
DR: The London eye.
Me: Yeah, that too.

Me: Look Big Ben!

Me: Time for another drink, look there's a bar!
dr: I uh, not for me...
*teaches bartender to make betty ford, orders two, hands one to drplokta*
Dr: This is dangerous
Me: *ordering next round, yacking to DJ, generally being a nuisance*

Me: We have to go to a club
DR: no.
Me: whine, wheedle etc.
*5 minutes later, cabbing it to Fabric*

Good fabric night, busier than it was last time I was there. Still pretty D&B for my taste, crowd friendlier, though. Left pretty soon after we got there, I think. Not entirely sure because it was 4:51 when I got home, but it didn't feel like we were there long. Still wiped from the afternoon picnic. Sore as hell today, would have stayed in bed except it's my last day in London.
